Available Products and/or Techniques
At Dentamach we offer virtually every fixed restorative product on the market allowing you to request the specific restoration that you prefer for you patients
1. Porcelain Fused To Metal (PFM)
2. IPS Empress® Esthetics: The Empress® system, unlike its PJC and PFM predecessors, has developed a method of making a ceramic crown without metal that is both durable and aesthetic. Since the crown is made entirely out of ceramic, it can have the same translucency as natural teeth. However, the Empress® is still not as strong as the PFM system in bridge work and in back teeth. Therefore, we still use PFM crowns on back teeth and for long span bridge work. But for front teeth where aesthetics are the primary concern, we would indicate Empress® crowns. In addition to translucency, Empress® crowns also have no risk of showing metal edges that sometimes appear with PFM. However, with e.max on the market now, it may be wiser to go for the stronger material. e.max even has an aesthetic advantage over Empress. Being stronger, your e.max crown can be made thinner than your Empress crown. Thickness is usually a problem in lower front teeth. We would definitely recommend e.max for lower front teeth.
3.IPS e.max CAD/Press. Reinforced glass ceramics have been successfully used in all-ceramic restorations for more than 15 years. Now IPS e.max CAD/Press unites the latest in CAD/CAM processing and pressing technologies with a high performance lithium disilicate glass ceramic. The manufacturers of e.max are the same folks who brought us Empress. This material is said to look just as good as Empress, but with strength of 400MPa, it's almost 2 times stronger. Not only that, this system can incorporate an opaque layer capable of masking underlying discoloration. The new e.max crowns cost only slightly more than Empress and are almost as strong as Procera. After numerous successful cases, e.max has been proven not only to function well as short-span bridges, the aesthetics are also as good as Empress
4.Procera® AllCeram:
5.Cercon® Zirconia is Dentsply Ceramco’s comprehensive system using both a smart digital CAM process and super strong zirconia ceramics. Cercon® Zirconia is an innovative system for esthetic metal-free crowns and bridges. The reliability of Cercon® Zirconia restorations is backed by more nine years of proven clinical success. The system is used to fabricate anterior or posterior single units or multi-unit bridge restorations out of translucent, biocompatible zirconia, the strongest and toughest dental ceramic. Cercon® Zirconia restorations can be placed with conventional cementation or adhesive bonding techniques.
6.Lava™ With more than five years of clinical history and proven results, the Lava™ Crowns and Bridges system from 3M™ ESPE™ is an innovative CAD/CAM technology using a zirconium oxide base. Preparations require removal of less tooth structure, and cementation can be accomplished using proven, conventional techniques. Ideal for bridges, Lava's precision CAD/CAM system produces restorations with outstanding marginal fit.
7.Captek ™ (available only through our Orlando location) The Captek restorations can only be prescribed from Captek Certified Laboratories. There are many imitators but the only material proven for strength, aesthetics, plaque resistance, and has won the Townie Choice Award for two consecutive years is Captek
